Apple Pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
Pancake Batter:
- 1 cup Maida (all-purpose flour)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup milk
Apple Slices:
- 1-2 apples, cored and sliced into rings
Garnish:
- Peanut butter
- Kiwi cubes
- Blueberries
METHOD:
Prepare the Batter:
1. Combine the Maida, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
2. Add the vanilla essence to the milk and stir.
3. Gradually pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients, whisking continuously until you get a smooth batter.
Prepare the Apple Slices:
4. Core the apples and slice them into rings of about 1/4 inch thickness.
Coat the Apple Slices:
5. Dip each apple ring into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
Cook the Pancakes:
6. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it if necessary.
7. Place the batter-coated apple rings onto the pan.
8. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The batter should be set and lightly browned.
Garnish and Serve:
9. Remove the pancakes from the pan and let them cool slightly.
10. Top with peanut butter.
11. Garnish with kiwi and blueberries.
