Gud ke Chawal
For those that do not like their dessert too sweet yet want to indulge their sweet tooth often, this recipe is the perfect fix.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup jaggery
2 tbsp ghee
2 pcs bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
3 pcs elaichi
1 cup soaked rice
1 cup water
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp cashew
1 tbsp almond
METHOD:
Chop 1 cup of jaggery and keep aside.
In a sauce pan, add 2 tbsp ghee.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, elaichis, chopped jaggery and stir. Cook until the jaggery has completely melted.
Add 1 cup soaked rice and mix well.
Add 1 cup water and cover with a lid.
Add all the dry fruits and mix.
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve fresh.
