Ingredients:
For the Mushroom Rolls:
- 200g mushrooms
- 3 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3-4 tbsp chopped green onions
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp chili oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 rice papers
For the Sauce:
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili oil
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp water
Method:
Prepare the Mushroom Mix:
1. Wash and chop the mushrooms, then transfer them to a bowl.
2. Add the finely chopped garlic, onion, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Prepare the Rice Papers:
3. Soak each rice paper in water for a few seconds until soft, then transfer to a clean board.
Assemble the Rolls:
4. Place a portion of the mushroom filling on the softened rice paper and carefully roll it up.
Steam the Rolls:
5. Steam the rolls for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and the rice papers turn slightly translucent.
Prepare the Sauce:
6. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili oil, honey, and water. Mix well.
Serve:
7. Transfer the cooked mushroom rolls to a serving plate. Pour the prepared sauce over the rolls, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions for an extra crunch and flavor boost.
