What is the Neo Borosilicate Glass Bottle?
The Neo is a 550 ml slim borosilicate glass water bottle with a built-in carry handle on the lid. It measures 6.5 x 6.5 x 22.5 cm and weighs 345 g. The slim cylindrical body (6.5 cm diameter) fits fridge door shelves and narrow bag pockets. Made of 100% borosilicate glass with a screw-top lid and silicone gasket for an airtight, leak-proof seal. Also available in 750 ml (7.8 x 7.8 x 26.8 cm, 466 g).
What is the difference between the Neo and the Crysto glass bottle?
Both are 100% borosilicate glass, but they are designed for different use-cases. The Neo has a slim body (6.5 cm diameter in 550 ml) with a carry handle on the lid, making it easier to carry by hand and better suited for narrower bag pockets and smaller fridge shelves. The Crysto has a wider body (7.8 cm diameter) with a wide mouth for adding ice cubes or fruit slices. Choose the Neo if portability and a slim fit matter most. Choose the Crysto if you want a wider opening for infused water or easier cleaning.
Is the Neo bottle safe and non-toxic?
Yes. The Neo is made of 100% borosilicate glass, which is chemically inert. It does not leach BPA, BPS, lead, or cadmium into water, juice, or milk at any temperature. Borosilicate glass is the same grade used in laboratory equipment. Unlike plastic bottles, it does not release microplastics or endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
Can I pour hot water or chai into the Neo bottle?
Yes. Borosilicate glass handles temperature differences of up to 150°C. You can pour hot water, chai, or kadha into the bottle at room temperature without cracking. Do not pour boiling water into the bottle if it has just come out of the freezer, as the temperature swing may exceed the safe range.
Is the Neo bottle dishwasher safe?
Yes, the borosilicate glass body is fully dishwasher safe. Place it upright on the top rack. The lid with carry handle should be hand-washed separately to preserve the silicone gasket. For daily cleaning, warm water with a soft sponge is enough.
Is the Neo bottle leak-proof? Can I carry it in a bag using the handle?
Yes. The screw-top lid with silicone gasket creates an airtight seal. When closed properly, the bottle is leak-proof and safe to carry in a bag or backpack. The built-in carry handle on the lid makes it easy to hold and carry by hand. The slim body (6.5 cm diameter for 550 ml) fits most bag side pockets and standard fridge door shelves.
