Chicken Malai Tikka
Creamy, luscious and utterly delicious- these are the adjectives we'd pick when making our way through this gorgeous recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
500 g boneless chicken breasts
Oil for brushing
For the spicy marinade
1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
Pinch of nutmeg
1/2 tsp pepper, freshly ground
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
For the cheese marinade
1 cup grated processed cheese, kept at room temperature
1/2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp elaichi (cardamom) powder
1/2 cup fresh cream
METHOD:
For the cheese marinade
In a mixing bowl, mash the cheese using the palms of your hands or back of a spoon till it is soft and creamy
Add the corn flour, cardamom powder and cream a little at a time and mix gently till smooth
Prepping the chicken
Pre-heat the OTG at 210⁰C for 5 minutes
Wash and clean the chicken, add the spicy marinade and mix well in large mixing bowl. Keep aside for 20 minutes
Add the cheese marinade, mix well and keep aside
Arrange the marinated chicken on skewers, place them on a greased OTG tray and bake in a preheated oven at 210⁰C for 35 - 40 minutes.
#BorosilTip - If you want a vegetarian version, just replace the chicken with paneer, marinate it for approx. ten minutes only and bake at 210⁰C for 10 - 15 minutes.
