Peanut Chikki
Experience the sweet crunch of Peanut Chikki, a delightful treat made with roasted peanuts and sugarcane jaggery. This homemade snack, infused with a touch of ghee, promises a perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness in every bite.
INGREDIENTS:
150g Peanuts
150g Sugarcane Jaggery
1 tsp Ghee
A Pinch of Salt
Ghee (for greasing)
METHOD:
1. Heat a pan and roast peanuts until well-cooked. Allow them to cool, then peel off the skin.
2. In a heavy-base pan, add chopped jaggery. Melt it on low heat and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add a teaspoon of ghee and a pinch of salt.
3. Make the jaggery syrup to a hard consistency.
4. Turn off the heat, add peanuts, and mix thoroughly.
5. Apply ghee to a flat surface or baking paper, then pour the mixture onto it.
6. Use a rolling pin to spread it evenly.
7. Cut the chikki while it's still warm and allow it to cool down.
8. Then, take the chikkis out. Done!

container quality is very good but once the silicone seal gets mouldy , one doesn't know how to clean it and replacements are not available with you ; the container then needs to be trashed . Any solution ??
