INGREDIENTS FOR PANEER STEAK:
- 500gms paneer, cut into rectangular slices
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon fried garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- Oil, for grilling
INGREDIENTS FOR ASSEMBLY:
- Sourdough bread slices
- Grated mozzarella cheese
- Paneer steak
- Pesto sauce
- Lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Pickles
- Butter, to toast the bread
METHOD:
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, paprika, oregano, chili flakes, salt, black pepper powder, fried garlic, thyme, and oil. Coat the paneer slices with this mixture and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat a sandwich grill. Grill the marinated paneer slices until they are golden brown on both sides. Set aside.
- Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Add grated cheese and close with another slice. Toast the sandwich on a pan until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown and crispy.
- On one slice, place one lettuce leaf, followed by sliced tomatoes, paneer steak, and pickles.
- Spread pesto sauce on one side of another slice of bread. Close the sandwich and enjoy.
