METHOD
Prepare the Coffee:
1. Heat 2 cups of water in a kettle and set it aside.
2. Place a coffee filter on top of a vessel.
3. Add 3 tablespoons of ground coffee to the vessel.
4. Gently spread and level the coffee powder with your fingers or a small spoon.
5. Pour the heated water into the top vessel until it's 3/4 full.
6. Cover with the lid and wait for 10 to 12 minutes, allowing the coffee decoction to percolate into the lower vessel. Let the coffee brew thoroughly.
Assemble the Affogato:
1. Take a glass and add 2 scoops of your preferred ice cream.
2. Pour the freshly brewed coffee over the ice cream in the glass.
3. Garnish the affogato with chocolate chips or shavings.
Serve Immediately:
Enjoy your delicious filter coffee affogato while it's fresh and hot. The combination of hot coffee and cold ice cream makes for a delightful treat.
