Easy bhuna gosht recipe that can be made in a pressure cooker.
If there's one thing we can promise you it's this - this recipe that renders mutton slide-off-the-bone succulent will be featuring regularly on your Sunday lunch table.

INGREDIENTS:


1 kg mutton

2 bay leaves

5-6 whole black peppercorns, lightly crushed

3-4 whole green cardamoms, lightly crushed

1-inch piece of cinnamon stick

2 cups thinly sliced onions

2 tsp ginger, julienned 

1 cup chopped tomatoes

2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsps coriander powder

1/2 tsp mutton masala powder

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cup of water

METHOD:


  • In a cooker add oil, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, black pepper and cardamom. Let the oil infuse with spices and turn fragrant.
  • Add onions and cook them down till they turn brown.
  • Next, add tomatoes and let them cook down.
  • Add all the masalas and let it cook for a good 5-6 mins until the oil separates.
  • Add the mutton pieces and lemon juice. let it cook for 3-4 whistles
  • Open the cooker and finish off with some coriander
  • Serve hot with parathas!
