Servefresh Roti Server

3

Stunning and made of stainless steel with a sleek glass lid, this Roti Server adds mileage to your serveware collection.

Recommended recipe: Lachha Parathas

Rotis are lovely, but lachha parathas are flaky and buttery! Here's how to make them:

Aloo paratha or gobi paratha also known as potato or cauliflower stuffed flatbread dish originating from the indian subcontinent

Ingredients:

2 cups aata

Salt, as per taste

1-2 teaspoon ghee (more required for roasting)

Water, as per the kneading requirement

Whip everything up to form a dough. Then divide the dough into medium-sized balls.

Rolling and roasting the parathas:

Take a dough ball. Roll it into an 8-8.5" diameter thin disc on a dusted rolling board.

Apply ghee or oil liberally on the paratha disc. Sprinkle some flour on the top.

From the edges, start to fold and pleat the paratha till the end.

Roll the pleated edges tightly. Join the edges.

Lightly dust with flour and now roll into round parathas of about 7" in diameter.

Heat the tawa or frying pan. The tawa should be hot. Place the paratha on the tawa. Keep the flame to medium-high or high.

Turn the paratha when one side is partly cooked. Apply ghee on this side and cook for a minute.

Now flip it and apply ghee on the other side.

Flip again a couple of times, till the parathas are browned evenly and are well cooked. Press the sides with a spatula while frying the parathas as sometimes the edges are not cooked well.

Alternatively, you could also add some ghee to the pan and then pan-fry the paratha.

Serve the lachha parathas in the Servefresh Roti Server.
