Spicy Instant Potato Noodles

Craving a quick and spicy meal that’s also a bit different? These Spicy Instant Potato Noodles are the perfect solution for those who love bold flavors and a fun twist on traditional noodles. Made with mashed potatoes, this recipe creates soft, chewy noodles that soak up the fiery and savory sauces like a dream. Perfect for a cozy evening or when you want something new on your dinner table, these potato noodles are both satisfying and comforting. Top them with sesame seeds, spring onions, and chilies for that extra kick, and dive into a bowl of deliciousness!

Ingredients:

For the Noodles:

  • 5-6 boiled potatoes
  • 1/2 cup potato starch
  • 3 tbsp water

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Method:


Prepare the Potato Noodles:

1. Boil, peel, and mash the potatoes until smooth.

2. Add potato starch and water to the mashed potatoes, and knead into a smooth dough.

3. Roll the dough into long logs, forming the noodles. Set aside.


Cook the Noodles:

4. Bring water to a boil in a kadhai (wok or deep pan).

5. Add the prepared potato noodles to the boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes.

6. Strain the noodles and set them aside.


Prepare the Sauce:

7. In a bowl, mix sesame oil, Schezwan sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce until well combined.


Combine Noodles and Sauce:

8. Add the boiled potato noodles to the sauce mixture and toss well to coat the noodles evenly.


Garnish and Serve:

9. Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped spring onions, and chopped chilies.

10. Serve and enjoy!
