Aloo Paratha Pancake

Start your day with a twist on a classic favourite! This Aloo Paratha Pancake is perfect for busy mornings, offering the comforting flavours of traditional parathas in a quick, pancake-like form. Pair it with a dollop of dahi or a tangy achaar for a wholesome and delicious breakfast.

INGREDIENTS: 


  • 1 large boiled potato, mashed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • Handful of coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1.5 cups water (or as needed)
  • Oil/ghee for cooking


  • METHOD:


    1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl to create a pancake-like batter.

    2. Heat oil/ghee in a pan over medium heat. Slowly pour the batter onto the pan, spreading it lightly to achieve an even thickness.

    3. Cook until the edges start to brown and become crispy. Carefully flip the paratha and cook the other side.

    4. Once the paratha is golden brown, remove it from the heat. Drizzle with ghee and serve hot with dahi (yoghurt) or achaar (pickle).
