High Protein Soyabean Keema Bowl
Made with minced soya, aromatic spices, and nutritious veggies, this hearty bowl is served with multigrain bread and a sunny side up egg for a wholesome meal that's both satisfying and nutritious.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups Soya chunks
3 glasses of Water
Salt to taste
3-4 tsp Oil
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1/2 inch Cinnamon
2 Bay Leaves
4-5 Peppercorns
2-3 Cloves
2 tbsp Ginger Garlic, chopped
2 Green chillies, finely chopped
1 cup Onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup Tomato puree
2 tbsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1/2 cup boiled Green peas
Chopped Coriander for garnish
2 slices Multigrain Bread
1 Egg for a sunny side up on the side
METHOD
1. Boil 2 cups of soya chunks in a pot with water until they double in size, then let them cool.
2. Once cooled, use a mixer grinder to make minced soya (soya keema).
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, peppercorns, and cloves for seasoning.
4. Sauté chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies until fragrant.
5. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, then add tomato puree and cook until it releases oil.
6. Stir in the masalas: red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and turmeric powder.
7. Add boiled peas and soya keema to the gravy, mix well, and season with salt.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
9. Serve in a bowl with toasted multigrain bread and a sunny side up egg on the side.
