Semiya Payasam
The payasam is a staple on festivals like Onam or the Tamil New Year but that's not to say we can't enjoy this delicious dessert all year round.
INGREDIENTS:
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup sevaiyan
1/2 cup water
1cup milk
2tbsp sugar
2tbsp condensed milk
1tbsp cashews
1tbsp raisins
1tbsp almonds
METHOD:
In a kadhai, add ghee, almond, raisin and cashews. Roast it well and keep aside.
In the same kadhai, add sevaiyan and let it roast. Then, add water and cook it for 2-3 minutes
In another kadhai, add milk, sugar and condensed milk. Bring it to a boil and then add the roasted sevaiyan along with dry fruits.
Serve warm or cold in glass katoris, and enjoy!
